Born in Cornwall in 1991, Rebecca's interest in music started from an early age. She joined her first choir age 6, and started having regular singing lessons from 8 years old. During her time living in Cornwall, Rebecca performed at many functions and events, notably at The Royal Cornwall Show. When Rebecca moved to Bristol in 2002, she started private tuition as part of the Tabacco Factory, and took part in a summer concert at Durham Park. During this time, she also completed ABRSM grades 1-5, various shows and performances around Bristol and as part of her school, The Red Maids School.

Moving to Bath in 2004 meant that Rebecca could attend the prestigious Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama's Junior Programme, which met all day on a Saturday on the colleges campus in Cardiff. This move meant a fantasic new teacher, and more operatic oppurtunities, the highlight being the principle role in a new work, 'The Flooding of the plains of Gwelod', a role which earnt Rebecca the overall vocal prize in 2009. During this time, she also achieved Grade 8 ABRSM Voice at Distinction.

Rebecca then obtained a very sought after place at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, to study Operatic Vocal Performance for four years. Under teacher Alison Wells, and Head Professor Dr Linda Hirst, Rebecca flourished in discovering new, exciting roles and her love for musical theatre. In her final year, she got the oppurtunity to work with the West End and international star Rebecca Caine, who helped train her for her final recital. Rebecca achieved a first in her recital, a programme which contained music from three centuries. Rebecca also completed a teacher training programme during her degree, which now means she can teach privately for any age and ability. Rebecca has also branched into the very exciting world of Rock Choir and is now a leader of three choirs in the Essex area. Have a look at rockchoir.com for more information.
